In 2020 it will be 150 years ago that the Matthäus Passion in Rotterdam was performed for the first time in the Netherlands by Toonkunst Rotterdam.
Because of this special anniversary, the EO organizes the concert Matthäus aan de Maas. A TV registration is also made of this. The concert will take place in Rotterdam Ahoy on Saturday, March 21, 2020. The television broadcast will be on NPO 2 on Good Friday, April 10, 2020. The project choir, composed by the EO, is accompanied by the Ars Musica Orchestra. Artistic direction is in the hands of top conductor Patrick van der Linden
