The Ars Musica Day is a cultural event in the St. Janskerk in Gouda.
Two years ago this day was a great success, and a new tradition has started! This event consists of several parts: an opening concert, an educational performance, a musical workshop for children, workshops for teenagers and adults, a cantata vespers, a food market and an evening concert. All ensembles of the Ars Musica Foundation are participating in this special day for young and old. Everybody is welcome!
Evening program
Schubertiade. The day will be concluded in a very atmospheric way with choral works and instrumental works from the 19th century. Choirs, soloists, a clarinetist and a pianist provide this closing concert.
De St. Jan in Gouda is the location where we would like to be your host again. We have reserved the complete church with all outbuildings and halls for you. The accessibility by car and public transport is excellent, the building is attractive and spacious and the facilities are of high quality. Everything is well organized in St. Jan. The toilets are neat and tidy. The church is spacious and attractive and designed for many visitors. In this building, Ars Musica offers young and old an educational and inspiring program to lay a sustainable foundation for the future together. The main goal is to pass on and create musical inspiration that arises through musical and educational collaborations between children and adults.
