A concert including a participation project that we as a festival are licking our fingers at. Early music is flawlessly combined with brand new work by composer and violinist Tim Kliphuis. Established musicians, emerging talent and amateur musicians join forces to bring this to life. Tim's new work, 'Rhapsody in Yellow and Blue', will make the orchestra swing, groove and whisper, in a mix of classical, folk and jazz. They enter into an exciting dialogue with his improvising student, violinist Valentine Blangé: she is the brand new winner of the Young Makers Prize of the Dutch Violin Competition, Oskar Back! After that, orchestra Ars Musica, in a small line-up, will play an exciting combination of through-composed Bach alongside the much more modern Ralph Vaughan Williams.
