The Ars Musica Orchestra is one of the new orchestra gems in our country. It makes music under the direction of Patrick van der Linden and focuses on classical music from Bach to the present.
The Ars Musica Orchestra does not shy away from adventure. Thirty musicians play Mozart's 29th Symphony standing and by heart, which requires guts and perseverance. You've never heard it performed like this before! In this work from 1774, the then 18-year-old Mozart shows how he spreads his wings in symphonic music. He integrates everything he has heard up to that point into a sound miracle at its best. At the same time, it is a typical Mozart piece: his individual symphonic voice sounds loud and clear.
Matthijs Koene, one of the most prominent and groundbreaking panflute players of our time, also likes to embark on a musical adventure. Matthijs Koene will shine in Mozart's First Flute Concerto.
Only the very greatest succeed in putting their highly personal signature under their own music. We unmistakably hear this in Bach's masterly Mass in G major. Bach makes a synthesis between old and new styles in an unsurpassed way.
